Troubleshooting

Common places to check

TikTok Login does not complete

Confirm you are signing into the intended TikTok account, allow the requested authorization, and return through the normal login flow. If the session expired or was canceled, begin the login flow again.

Authorization is missing or revoked

Reconnect through TikTok Login and review the authorization shown by TikTok. If you previously disconnected access in TikTok, a fresh authorization is required before a draft can be uploaded.

The video does not upload

Confirm the intended video has completed processing, review the selected account, and retry only after checking the upload status. A failed upload does not mean a video was published.

The upload is not publicly visible

This is expected. The Content Posting API uploads a creator-approved video as a TikTok draft. Open TikTok, find the draft, review it, and decide whether to publish it there.

What to include in a support message

  • A short description of the action you were taking
  • Whether the issue involved login, authorization, upload, or draft review
  • The approximate time the issue occurred
  • Any non-sensitive error message shown on screen
Protect your account.Never email your TikTok password, authorization code, access token, secret key, or full sensitive account data. Support does not need those values to begin troubleshooting.
